This is you:
- You have worked in a public preschool and/or have experience working in early childhood special education or a related field
- You are an innovative, creative and collaborative early childhood special educator or administrator
- You have a passion for promoting equity and inclusion for young children with disabilities
- You value culturally responsive teaching, professionalism, and a strengths-based approach
- You love to learn! You strive to understand emerging trends in education, seek to thoughtfully employ best practices, support diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
- You recognize that addressing societal oppression and inequities requires ongoing education and a commitment to allyship.
Highlights of What You Will Do:
- Provide effective, high quality, monthly and/or regional coaching to public school teachers and administrators on using equitable supports to promote quality public preschool inclusion for young children with disabilities
- Attend and participate actively in professional learning communities (PLCs)
- Seek out resources on best practices to share with school district teams and guide them in integrating new practices
- Maintain all required record keeping of coaching and project activities
