Job Description
All employees are responsible for learning quantity food preparation, kitchen safety and sanitation and serving of food.
They are responsible for all jobs necessary for the complete operation of the school lunch program. This includes, but is not limited to the serving of lunch to the students, faculty and staff, including collecting money when necessary.
They will take guidance and direction from the Administrator of Food Services. They must also be certified or be willing to take a course for certification in Food Safety and Sanitation.
The work year is dependent on the assigned school, but in general is the normal school year and an additional two days. The work hours are dependent upon the individual school's scheduled lunch hours.
Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and procedures. Ability to be cooperative with staff and pleasant to children.
Responsible for duties and responsibilities of ten or more staff members, delegating tasks and assignments on a daily basis.
Responsible for training staff when necessary.

Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Previous experience managing a kitchen is preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: •Working knowledge of all kitchen equipment and procedures •Ability to be cooperative with staff and pleasant to children •Excellent communication skills •Must be able to lift 50 pounds. •Must be able to pass a Serv-Safe examCitizenship, residency or work VISA in United States required
