Salary Range: $25.35 - $30.79 per hour

Essential Functions and Objectives:

- Trains and assists staff with internet and technology usage and services through professional development programs and in-services or by providing one-on-one consulting and support.

- Often is the information specialist in the building.

- Provides senior level instruction and technical consultation to administrators, faculties and staff on state-of-the-art applications of technology.

- Develops implements and coordinates aspects of the District Technology Plan, departmental technology plans, and the technology plans of individual schools and learning centers.

- Instructs and provides technical consulting to administrators, faculties and staff on state-of-the-art applications of technology.

- Communicates operating procedures, including problem solving, for the most complex technology.

- Develops effective working relationships with technical contact persons and the Department of Technology Services (DoTS) to further develop technological skills of teachers.

- Attends regular trainings, as offered by the Department of Technology Services, to assure that knowledge of district systems and procedures is current.

- Develops and maintains a state-of-the-art knowledge of promising new technologies and strategies for which these technologies can be used to enhance instruction.

- Researches, accesses, interprets, produces and manages educational data and information.

- In partnership with teachers and school leaders, develops and implements school-based technology plan.

- Support the planning, purchase, implementation and training related to technology-based interests and resources.

- Responsible for the implementation and use of technologies related to school and instructional management (assessment systems, student information systems, etc.), including but not limited to Schoology, Illuminate, Infinite Campus, and Naviance.

- In partnership with department chairs and school administration, create the school schedule using Infinite Campus and related applications.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Five (5) or more years of related experience is required.

- A demonstrated experience instructing, teaching and communicating state-of-the-art technology.

- Functional knowledge of the Internet, conducting presentations, workshops (in services), seminars.

- Current knowledge of a variety of computer hardware, software, operating systems and emerging technologies including multimedia, audio and video-based systems.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in computer science preferred.
