Coaching Days Per Week: 3 Day

 

Coaches (tutors) are responsible for instructional support services to students in small groups and/or individual sessions in English and/or Mathematics.  Coaches will serve eligible students in grades 9-11 in meeting the academic achievement standards in the subjects of need. Student academic progress  will be  based upon assessment data and/or meeting the classroom teachers’ outcome goals.

 

Coaches will be competent in the use of standard computer technology, and will be trained by Eduscape in the implementation of appropriate instructional strategies to meet the needs of the targeted students in English and mathematics.

 

Coaches are responsible for upholding Eduscape principles and will:

 

  • Tutor students in small group instruction in the area(s) of their specialization (English or math);

     

    Keep all student information confidential and secure;

     

    Complete the Eduscape Coach Training Program and participate in all on-going training;

     

  • Instruct students in small groups or individual tutoring sessions;

     

  • Keep detailed records of student academic progress by tracking and analyzing student work and assessments;

     

    Work closely with the school’s teachers, counselors, administrators and parents to monitor and meet students’ academic goals.

     

    Ensure completing and submitting all Title I required documentation and reports;

     

    Attend team meetings as scheduled;

     

  • Provide professional skills as a knowledgeable educator who is motivated, versatile, dependable, and dynamic with the ability to communicate effectively;

     

  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite applications;

     

    Work as a collaborative team member with the ability to establish positive working relationships, both with students and staff;

     

    Maintain an appropriate quiet location from which to conduct remote teaching sessions without disturbances and to ensure student privacy;

     

    Possess a stable internet connection and device to access connectivity and conduct virtual tutoring sessions.
