Description: This position leads and guides the work of all K-5 ELA including the upcoming implementation of the BEST Standards for ELA, curriculum adoption and implementation of new materials and well as the curriculum resources and professional development plans associated with all things elementary literacy.

Description: This position leads and guides the work of all K-5 ELA including the upcoming implementation of the BEST Standards for ELA, curriculum adoption and implementation of new materials and well as the curriculum resources and professional development plans associated with all things elementary literacy.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching and/or instructional coaching experiences in an Elementary school setting.
- Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Ed. Leadership, Reading or other relevant areas to curriculum and instruction
- Reading endorsement and ESOL endorsement completion (or similar degree/certificate)
- Deep knowledge of the current standards and shifts in English Language Arts, certification in English and/or Reading as well as strong working knowledge of the BEST standards and the science of reading.
- School based leadership (Assistant Principal or Principal) OR District-based leadership in ELA curriculum, assessment, and instruction
- High level of organization
- Strong Initiative and self-starter
- Ability to manage large projects including connections with a wide variety of Pasco stakeholders and professional learning partners
- Deep instructional knowledge of quality teaching and planning practices
- Belief in the potential and power of teachers, instructional coaches and building leaders to affect great change in student achievement
- Excellent calendar and time management skills with a particular focus on meeting deadlines and following up with multiple stakeholders and partners Love and passion for elementary instruction
