BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High school diploma or general education (GED); one year of general office or clerical experience; or any combination of experience and/or training that would provide the following knowledge, abilities, and skills: Some knowledge of general office procedures and equipment, including microcomputers, word processors, and the like. Ability to type in accordance with current requirements. Ability to perform general office duties. Ability to follow oral and written directions. Ability to work courteously and effectively with others. Ability to learn the effective operations of such equipment as microcomputers, word processors, and calculators, and to use such equipment in the workplace. Bilingual speaker preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION/NATURE OF WORK:
This is clerical work involving general typing and clerical duties. The employee provides assistance to professionals or other clerical staff in performing a variety of procedures. The work is performed under the supervision of a Human Resources Supervisor.
DIMENSIONS:
Grade 5
7.5 hours/day
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES/ILLUSTRATIVE EX OF WORK:
Works collaboratively with all stakeholders in providing a world-class education. Types letters, reports, minutes, work orders, purchase orders, memoranda. Assists with recordkeeping duties; updates and maintains records, as required. Assists in maintaining files; checks out and keeps track of materials. Answers telephone, takes messages, and routes calls. Assists in reproduction of typed material as necessary. Assists in compiling information for monthly reports. Assists in payroll procedures (timekeeping, computation, verifications, etc.) when required. Assists in the preparation and distribution of reports, agendas, etc. Serves as receptionist when required. Acts as backup to Employment Service Center (ESC) in providing assistance to applicants and answering questions as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
SALARY:
Hiring Range: $32,796 - $44,915/year ($17.49 - $23.95/hour)
