PURPOSE OF JOB: Ensures effective and proper use of department technology resources while providing exemplary customer service to in the areas of tech support to district staff and students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to coordinate and work cross-functionally with district staff and leaders. Train and assist users in the proper use of district technology resources.
Provide technical support for students and sta? on hardware, software and web-based resources, as needed.
Communicate e?ectively with sta? and students regarding technology information. E?ectively diagnose, install and troubleshoot complex software and hardware devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, barcode readers, digital cameras and other technology tools.
Deploy and maintain operating systems and software titles for each building via disk imaging and other automated deployment technologies.
Research and implement preventative maintenance procedures for district technology devices.
Reconcile and archive monthly food inventory and other pertinent data, as required.
Assists with logistics, coordination and transport of department supplies, equipment. Conduct and maintain accurate inventory on technology equipment.
Identify process deficiencies; develop and implement tech-based efficiencies and strategies.
Support and assists with special projects, as requested.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent software skills
Knowledge and experience with hardware warranty procedures
Excellent knowledge of desktops, laptops, and other common peripheral devices Excellent organizational skills.
E?ective interpersonal and communication skills
Strong ability to educate users on new software, hardware, policies and procedures Ability to lift up to 40lbs up to a height of 4 feet occasionally
Minimum of (3) years work experience in technology field.
Current driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for travel in district (mileage reimbursement provided)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
(5) years work experience in public education-technology. Experience with large-scale computer deployments.
Certi?cation in current Microsoft Windows version.
