School Lane Charter School is now accepting applications for a full-time school nurse at our IB campus (grades 7-12).

Some duties include:

• Organizes and administers an effective school health services program and integrates this with other health delivery systems
• Provides communication as required concerning health objectives, summary of activities, and other matters related to student health
• Promotes the development of positive health attitudes and practices
• Conducts school health services, including weight, height, and tests for hearing and vision of students on a yearly basis
• Maintains up-to-date cumulative health and vaccination records on all students
• Obtains and manages necessary parent and physician documentation for administering over-the-counter and prescription drug medications
• Organizes and maintains a concise system for personal identification and correct dispensing of all over-the-counter and prescription medications
• Assumes the responsibility for the care of a student or staff member who has suffered an injury or emergency illness

Requirements:

• BA/BS or equivalent in a Health field with 1 to 3 years working as a School Nurse
• Current PA Registered Nurse licensure
• Pennsylvania School Nurse Certification
• CPR/AED Certification
