The Cambridge Public School Community:
The Cambridge Public School District (CPSD) serves children and families from a diverse range of racial, cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Our elementary schools nurture not only our children's curiosity and intellectual skills, but also their healthy social and emotional development. Families/caregivers, teachers and staff members work together to foster a sense of safety and belonging and to support students in developing a sense of civic responsibility and an appreciation for people with different origins, identities, beliefs and learning styles. Our schools strive to promote a sense of community, where all adults and children feel respected and appreciated. Our district follows an inclusion model, with English learners and students with moderate disabilities learning alongside their general education peers with support from special educators, ESL teachers, related service providers, and interventionists.

CPSD is actively working towards becoming an antiracist school district, and is taking steps towards identifying and dismantling racist structures, hearing and elevating underrepresented voices, and striving to achieve an equitable and just educational experience for all students.

Other duties include conducting lunch and recess activities; accompanying children to specialists; accompanying children on field trips; duplicating materials; operating audio-visual equipment; managing the whole class while the teacher attends a meeting; and performing other tasks requested by the teacher or school administration.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher. Previous experiences working with students in an urban, multicultural setting preferred; respect for differences in experiences and the development of children; ability to work with children in both small and large groups in activity-based classroom settings.
