PART-TIME TEACHING ASSISTANT - ELEMENTARY

PART-TIME 10-MONTH POSITION - 16.5 HOURS/WEEK (REPOST FROM 10/5/20)
GRADE 2 CLASSROOM
SALARY: $12.90/hour, plus payment for additional credit hours, if applicable
START DATE: As soon as possible

• TEACHING ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE TEACHING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION OR NYS TEACHER CERTIFICATION
• MUST BE FINGERPRINTED THROUGH THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PRIOR TO START DATE (see attached)
• Experience working with elementary students preferred

JOB SUMMARY: A Teaching Assistant assists with instruction and classroom management under the supervision of the classroom teacher. Assists in conducting classroom activities that enhance the opportunity to develop skills within and outside the classroom.
