    Student teacher placements may be requested by having a university supervisor and then processed by FCPS HR department. The supervisor will need to provide the following information in an excel or Google Docs spreadsheet:
    • name of the student(s)
    • certification area of placement, number of weeks in placement
    • grade levels or specific content information
    • any school or teacher preferences
    All student teachers are required to have a Fingerprint based national (FBI) and state (KSP) criminal records check, a Criminial Abuse and Neglect (CAN) registry check and complete an online application . Student teachers should select ‘ student teaching' in their application for the purpose of accessing your individual FBI national criminal records check as needed. Once cleared by the university to student teach, student teachers see thefollowing information to the FCPS HR department for the conduction of fingerprints:
    • Please schedule an appointment to complete your fingerprints. https://calendly.com/fcpshumanresources/background-check-appointment . Bring the following to your fingerprint appointment:
      o Driver's License - must be current
      o Social Security Card (the actual card with signature NOT A COPY.)
      o Check or Money Order only for $40 made out to FCPS
    • Pictures will be taken at the fingerprint appointment for badges
      o Please register as a contractor for issuance of the photo badge. www.fcps.net/contractors .
    • Criminal Abuse and Neglect (CAN) Registry Check form: Follow these instructions for the Criminal Abuse and Neglect (CAN) Registry check. Submit a copy of your receipt to fcpsappcenter@fayette.kyschools.us to be placed into pending status. Submit the results within 30 days to the same email address to become fully approved
