Sr . Business Technology Specialist, Atlassian Suite & ITAM Admin/Developer

About This Role ...

The Sr . Atlassian Suite & ITAM Admin/Developer works with stakeholders to learn and understand their work and processes, gather requirements, and translate their needs into productive, cost-effective technology improvements for their business unit and NWEA . This role requires a combination of strong customer service and technical expertise in a platform enablement role.

Your Next Challenge...

  • Design, implement, and support solutions and workflow using Atlassian Suite including JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket
  • Document solutions, best practice procedures, and training content for assigned systems
  • Defining and maintaining permissions architecture, refining it as needed to fit business needs and as the platform evolves
  • Managing and assigning support tickets for assigned systems
  • Guest user access support, security around externally accessible sites
  • Keep skills and education current on assigned business applications, including knowledge of on-going technology improvements to those applications

Your Skills and A bilities ...

  • Thorough understanding of ITIL and IT Service Management concepts
  • 5+ years of experience with Atlassian configuration and development (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • 5+ years hands on experience with installation and configuration of software applications
  • 5+ years' experience in implementation and support of JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
  • Understanding of infrastructure/server administration required to support and trouble-shoot application issues
  • Troubleshooting experience in working with product vendor and customers
  • Experience with integrating other systems with Atlassian (Salesforce, Trello, Samanage, TargetProcess, Smartsheets, AWS Pipeline, Jenkins etc...)
  • Design skills pertaining to user experience and layout/design of projects, pages, forms, lists, and workflow s
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use and administration of JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket platforms
  • Research and analytical skills to translate user's stated business need into meaningful solutions
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated experience developing ideas or identifying opportunities that result in continuous improvement
  • Able to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
  • Proven experience in interacting with senior management

Your Education and E xperience ...

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Eight or more years of experience in complex information system and software analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance across multiple hardware and software platforms
  • Specific experience provisioning, supporting and administering Atlassian products including JIRA, Confluence, and BitBucke t
  • Strong preference for the following certifications: Atlassian Certified Jira Server and Advanced Jira Workflows
