Position Outcomes:
To provide network services and infrastructure support to New Trier High School District 203.

General Responsibilities:
This person is a leader and key member of the Network and Operations Team within the Technology Department providing network services and infrastructure support to New Trier High School District 203. This enthusiastic and solutions-oriented team is responsible for all network level incidents and design. This person supports that mission by designing and working within established guidelines, exercising initiative and independent judgement in performing duties and in staying current with information and procedures. He/she must work intentionally, be prepared and dependable while managing numerous interruptions, maintain a professional demeanor, and be exceptionally well organized.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • Cisco CCNA routing and switching certification preferred
  • Microsoft certification preferred; either MCSA or MCSE
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a multi-platform network environment
  • Minimum 3 years working with Microsoft Exchange 2010 and above
  • Experience working with Windows, Mac and mobile device management
  • Experience working with mail/web filtering, DHCP, DNS, FTP, VPN, NPS and other network services in an enterprise environment

  • Supports telecom by administering and maintaining:
  • Cisco VoIP.

  • Manages data archive by administering and performing:
  • Avamar data domain.
  • Datacove Email Archival Appliance.
  • Datacove email restore.
  • Avamar backup restore.
  • System backups.
  • Managing core system by administering:
  • Cisco Prime.
  • Exchange 2010 and 2016.
  • Windows domain controllers.
  • System monitoring tools.
  • IP management tools.
  • DNS management tools.
  • Active directory.
  • Websense.
  • RSA server.
  • WhatsUpGold.
  • Ensuring Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery by actively:
  • Protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the NT computer network.
  • Establishing and updating BC/DR Plan.
  • Performing quarterly BC/Dr Plan Test.
  • Performing quarterly BC/DR Review.
  • Researching and evaluating new trends and technology that relates to BC/DR.
