Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in safety, engineering, or a related field, plus five years of progressively more responsible experience in the safety field. A master?s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Demonstrates a broad professional knowledge including risk assessment and risk reduction related to employee and student safety; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with elected officials, community members, parents and staff; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
