The Enrollment and Assessment Support Specialist performs a wide variety of tasks that generally support school operations, but which may, depending on the specific needs of the school, have varying areas of emphasis or specialization. Typical areas of focus may include, but are not limited to, all state mandated assessments, school compliance, school enrollment, data reporting and/or student support.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages all school and state mandated assessment programs including SBAC, ELPA21, ELPA Screener, and AP Exams etc., including make-up testing;
  • Works with School Operations Manager to update and maintain the student information system (Synergy) and Testing Database; Maintains testing planning and tracking tools throughout the year; Tracks student accommodations for Special Education, 504, and general education students.
  • Researches and secures facilities throughout the state for all in-person testing, maintaining communication to revisit needs prior to each administration, as needed;
  • Assists with ordering, inventory control, and assembling of testing material kits;
  • Works with administration to support Site Test Coordinators and Test administrators in appropriate procedures for coordinating testing at their location; Acts as liaison between administration and site coordinators; Develops communications to parents and staff regarding state testing;
  • Supports data and logistics of other major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, and Year End Transition.
  • Works with administration to Manage student enrollment and re-enrollment process; Serves as point of contact on enrollment issues for students, prospective students, parents, and administrative personnel; Ensures state compliancy guidelines are met for all incoming enrollment documents
  • Assists administration with various projects
  • Periodic onsite presence required
  • Other duties may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree AND
  • Two (2) years of related work experience and training OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Other required qualifications:
  • Strong technology skills that include professional experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Professional experience using a student information system (Synergy) or other SIS.
  • Ability to travel to support assessment and instruction as needed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects
  • Experience using a student information system (Synergy) and/or other type of database
  • Ability to clear required background check

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with state testing
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience working in a public-school environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience teaching in the classroom and administering standardized tests
  • Experience with virtual/online education
