OVERVIEW

Role: The Director of Data Integration (Analyst) is responsible for ensuring the integration of all key organizational data systems, maintenance of seamless integration, and informed analyses of data sets for multiple stakeholders

The ideal candidate is:

Process-Oriented: We need a Director of Data Integration who can grow and manage a multi-tiered organization and who can think strategically and build business processes and structures that support the growth of our network to multiple regions and over a dozen schools

Attentive to Detail: Data integration is essential to shaping the narrative or BEN's impact and guiding the future of organizational processes and systems. The data behind the narratives must be accurate and seamlessly integrated.

Success in this role will be measured by seamless data integration across organizational systems, and analysis of big data sets to inform organizational advancement

Essential Functions
    • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Systems Implementation & Maintenance
    • Partner with our stakeholders and engineers to continue to build on our data integration platform and expand the data sets, use case and infrastructure capabilities of our big data stack
    • Direct, hands on, management of Salesforce platform - including building applications and maintaining the Salesforce ECM application
    • Designs and maintains processes and databases for the collection, analysis and dissemination of student/instructional/program data and progress to organizational staff and stakeholders as required for the educational needs of children
    • Organizes and analyzes data; suggests relationships between data trends across the program continuum, preparing reports for use by various stakeholders and suggesting possible organizational action steps
    • Prepares reports for boards, regulators, partners, and school leaders PK-12;


    • Data Analysis
    • Oversee the analysis of all network data. This includes BRICK schools (Achieve and MPTCS), the South Ward Promise Neighborhood, and additional programs. Analysis systems should be annual, quarterly, and monthly.
    • Oversee the creation and management of data dashboards that keeps data in front of stakeholders.


    • State Reporting & State Accountability
    • Support the timely submission of state reports. This includes but is not limited to SID, SMID, course rosters, SPED, and the annual charter report.
    • Oversee the analysis of student assessment data and monitor all state accountability systems. This will require both looking at data in the aggregate and disaggregated to student groups.


    • User Support
    • Participates in training to remain current on data sources, data analysis techniques, and strategies for developing and conducting presentations;
    • Serve as the escalation point for internal and external escalation for all things data integration
    • Serve as a thought leader within the organization and in the industry for education data integration
    • Lead stakeholders in technical data integration discussions and strategy sessions during systems implementation


    • Team Leadership
    • Teach, mentor and build the industry knowledge and technical skill set of the members of your organization to be top talent within the education space
    • Work with an internal cross functional team to organize, prioritize and manage the implementation of multiple data feeds annually across all stakeholders


Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 3+ years of experience with data integration in a K-12 education setting
    • Experience managing integration teams
    • Proficiency in at least two of the following: Pandas (Python), R, or SQL
    • Mastery in at least two of the following: QuickBase, Tableau, Salesforce
    • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field of study.
    • Mastery in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
    • Able to manage multiple data sets with strong attention to detail
    • Able to manage multiple tasks against urgent deadlines
    • Current authorization to work in the United States - A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
    • Able to work successfully with colleagues, including school-based personnel, community members, and external customers
    • Able to communicate effectively both in written and oral communication
    • Able to work well independently and within a team
    • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges
    • Reliable transportation


Salary, Goals & Employment Period
    • Salary Range: Based Upon Experience / Performance Contract
    • Employment Period: Twelve Months
