This is a .2FTE position.

This TOSA position will serve asK-8 Math Interventionist

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide targeted math interventions for students in grades K-8
  • Progress monitor through collection of ongoing data of each student Disaggregate Fall, Winter, and Spring (K-2) FAST math data for K-8 teachers
  • Share FAST math data withclassroom teachers in how to best utilize the data for classroom instruction
  • Provide ongoing communication to classroom teachers and families in how the student receiving interventions is progressing
  • Participate in the school's MTSS team
  • Participate in parent/teacher conferences for students who receive reading intervention services
  • Provide needed professional development support.
  • Any additional needed support identified by administration

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid Minnesota Teaching License.
  • Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective
  • Prior successful experience teaching in urban, multicultural education setting
  • Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development
  • Master's preferred
