This is a 20-hour per week position responsible for supporting members of the department in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the department including but not limited to recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
D 30% Clerical duties associated with the effective performance of the Human Resources Department
D 30% Maintain files in all areas affecting the Human Resources Department
D 10% Assist department personnel in carrying out various human resource programs and procedures for all
D 10% Perform customer service to employees of the district
D 5% Assist visitors with appointments, applications, deliveries, and notary
D 5% Ensure I-9 forms are completed, verified and filed for all new employees
D 5% Process employment verification requests
Ongoing 5% Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND TRAINING High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE Prefer two years of human resource or secretarial experience.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT Basic knowledge of computer software, math and good customer service skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS None required.
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITY This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Acts as a resource for District in human resource related issues and questions.

SALARY: $21,905.50 to $23,826.50 Annually (Support & Technical Salary Schedule - Range 6 Steps 1, 2, or 3) for 20 hours per week.
