NOTICE OF POSITION

POSITION :

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives curriculum committee members to serve as needed from: October 2020 - June 2022:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must hold a New York State teaching certification and be currently employed with the Buffalo Public Schools as a probationary teacher, have knowledge of the Common Core Learning Standards and knowledge of application of evidenced based culturally responsive and anti-racist educational practices. It is required that candidates must attach a PDF or a screen shot of their certifications.

DUTIES :
Curriculum committees will work directly with Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Initiatives administrators. Committees must complete a variety of assignments within a mandated time frame. Assignments include but are not limited to evaluating instructional materials and developing pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the Learning Standards. Committee members will participate in professional development to increase knowledge and skills required to fulfill responsibilities of related committee work.

APPOINTMENT : Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.

SALARY : Committee members will be paid at the contractual rate.
