JOB GOAL
Responsible for overseeing and managing HPS construction projects

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of construction management or engineering experience (Preferred)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools.
• Oversees and manag es construction projects simultaneously from conception to completion
• Oversees all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Reviews the work progress on daily basis
• Prepares internal and external reports p ertaining to job status
• Analyzes, manages, and mitigate risks
• Schedules the project in logical steps and budgets time required to meet deadlines.
• Develops and implements quality control programs
• Plans , organizes, and directs activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licens es
• Develops and maintains project cost/change controls, and project budget and a ccounting records
• Performs change order estimations.
• Prepares and keeps a record of meeting m inutes from all projects and HPS Board Meetings
• Reviews and e valuates a rchitect proposals and RFIs.
• Prepares documentation for Public Bid Openings
• Handles legal is sues including transfers of titles and deeds, construction, permits, and zoning.
• Inspects and reviews projects to monitor compliance with architectural/construction blueprints, building safety codes, and
• other regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge about construction procurement and management
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district.
• Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone.
• Ability to ana lyze data and generate reports.
• Ability to use effective interview techniques, effective public speaking skills, and problem- solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Light Work: may require the occasional light lifting.
• Nights and weeken d activities will be occasionally required.
• Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
• Excessive travel is required.
