Qualifications:

• A valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License with
  School Social Worker endorsement.
• Experience as a social worker in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities:

Provides individual and group counseling services to students with social emotional concerns that impact functioning in the school environment.

Serves as a member of multi-disciplinary teams in student assessment, placement, and dismissal as per the Illinois State Board of Education guidelines.

Completes social developmental studies as determined by the New Trier child find team and triennial review.

For special education students with IEP related services, provides quarterly progress reports on student progress; reviews each student's IEP annually, and participates in re-evaluations. Develops social emotional goals as appropriate.

Collaborates with colleagues and parents in order to share information and expertise to plan and implement effective student programs.

Collaborates with medical and health care facilities to develop and plan services for students.

Works with school teams on education and prevention regarding mental health issues.
