Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher
Tutor's Responsibilities:
Experience working with students in a school setting preferred and/or demonstrated ability to make connections and provide academic support for such students. Strong Math and Science Skills preferred.
Successful completion of college level coursework or passing of examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act.
Schedule:
Hours may vary depending on student/program needs but shall never exceed 19.5 hours per week.

- Conduct small flexible groups to reinforce skills
- Circulate room and assist students as needed
- Provide individualized instruction as needed
- Assist with the administration of assessments
- Respect the student by involving him/her in decisions about the learning process
- Encourage the student by praising him/her and by showing a positive attitude about learning.
- Guide the student in his/her understanding of subject area
- Collaborate with students' teachers to provide progress updates
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Director of Pupil Services
