Description:
Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing: Town-wide itinerant position. Must hold Connecticut State certification for endorsement 057 PreK-12. Experience with sign language required and training in auditory rehabilitation preferred. Responsibilities include providing individualized supports to students with varying degrees of hearing loss, in-service and consult to classroom teachers, conducting evaluations, and writing and implementing IEPs. A key component of this position is the ability to be flexible and collaborative as part of a core team within the district.
