POSITION SUMMARY: The district is seeking a full time Occupational Therapist to work with kindergarten through 8th school children with multiple mild to moderate disabilities. The ideal therapist will have previous schools experience, be flexible, and possess strong communication skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services in the educational setting to include evaluation, treatment, environmental modification, consultation and training
• Collaborating and consulting with staff to support students in various settings in the schools
• Providing on-going communication with each child's parents/guardians about student successes, concerns, and opportunities for continuous improvement

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Masters in Occupational Therapy or equivalent and an active state license
• Pediatric and school experience desired.
• Must have the ability to work effectively with district and school site administrators, teacher, support staff, parents and community agencies.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
