Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing alternative education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team. We are currently seeking an Electives Teacher for a new school program in Atlantic City, New Jersey for the 2020-2021 school year.

This campus will be an alternative education program with students from grades 6-12 and are supported by a team of professionals that include credentialed teachers and behavior management professionals. The focus of this program will be to keep students on track to graduate and to successfully transition them back to their regular campus to achieve success.

We are hard working, cohesive, community-focused schools. All staff in our school, including administrators, teachers and behavior support positions, are promised excellent support, feedback and opportunity to grow. We genuinely love what we do and are always striving to get better.

Our Teachers are responsible for designing and providing instruction in accordance with curriculum planning and timing guidelines in a self-contained classroom. Our Teachers also conduct frequent and appropriate assessments to determine student understanding. Works well with other instructional staff, support staff and administration with a focus on producing favorable academic outcomes and a positive school climate.

Camelot Education is a nationally recognized organization providing educational services to children and adolescents throughout the United States. Camelot has over 40 school campuses located in six states and is continuing to grow. Camelot provides Alternative Education services to inner city schools for children who have dropped out of school, been expelled or at risk for either.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current New Jersey Teacher Certification
  • One year experience working with at-risk youth preferred
  • Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal skills and supervisory skills preferred
