Participates in the overall management of the administration and formulation of the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) budget; provides day-to-day support and guidance on operational functions within the Office of Budget Services; at the direction of financial leadership, oversees management, development, and coordination of the FCPS revenue budget and fiscal policy; supervises the effective and timely preparation and production of budget information and communications for the department; leads in planning, organizing, supervising, and evaluating the activities, program functions, personnel, physical, and fiscal resources of the assigned office; assists with strategic planning and goals.

Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, public policy or related field. Master's degree preferred. Six years of progressively more responsible experience in financial/budget services, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations as it pertains to the fiscal, strategic, and operational plans of a large public institution. Knowledge of governmental budgeting and finance administration and practices on budget development and approval. Knowledge of process improvement and strategic planning. Skill in personnel, financial, and administrative management. Ability to think strategically and problem solve. Ability to maintain collaborate working relationships, internally and externally, and achieve actionable results. Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting. Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to facilitate meetings and/or present information to groups.
