Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking a long-term School Psychologist or School Social Worker substitute for the 2020-2021 school year.
Description:
The School Psychologist/Social Worker provides individual and group counseling services for students and engages in progress-monitoring to determine student growth toward IEP goals. The School Psychologist/Social Worker conducts evaluations to determine eligibility under Section 504 and writes 504 Plans for those students found eligible. The School Psychologist/Social Worker participates in meetings of Student Support Teams (which consist of a counselor, social worker, dean, and school psychologist) to collaboratively identify students in need of support and discuss appropriate interventions in an effort to help students experience greater academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success.
Qualifications:
ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist or School Social Worker endorsement required. Interested applicants must possess knowledge of the RtI problem-solving process, school-based individual and group counseling techniques, and supporting students under IDEA and Section 504.
