Description:
SFX is a National Blue Ribbon Catholic school in the Village of Wilmette. A collaborative and energetic faculty supports Preschool - 8th grade students from the surrounding neighborhoods. SFX is seeking a full-time Reading Specialist to join our literacy support team. This role would include: providing reading intervention, organizing school-wide assessment and record keeping, and collaboration and coaching support for teachers. Candidates should have knowledge of Lucy Calkins Units of Study for Reading and Writing, Fountas and Pinnell BASC, Leveled Literacy Intervention, and Words their Way. A current IL teaching license is required, and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a wide variety of instructional approaches for teaching academic, behavioral and social emotional skills is preferred.
