• Provide mental health services for students with disabilities to support student achievement.
• Duties include assessing, writing treatment plans, counseling students, developing FBA’s and BIP’s, working on multidisciplinary teams, and coordinating services with general education.
• Be able to relate assessment findings that focus on implications for teaching.
• Fluent in Spanish
• Provide Spanish bilingual cognitive and social-emotional assessments to students with disabilities to support school-based teams and student achievement.
• Duties include: assessing, collaborating with transdisciplinary teams, interpreting for parents and school-based teams in IEP related staffing, professional development and training for staff.
• Be able to relate assessment findings and design mental health intervention strategies that focus on implication for student learning in the general education classroom.

Education and Licensure

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Holds a Colorado special services provider license or is currently eligible for one with the appropriate endorsement for this position
• A completed Human Resources file including transcripts, student teaching verification, previous work experience
• Acceptable Licenses
  • School Psychologist (ages birth thru 21)

Endorsement Category School Psychologist Strategic Plan: The teacher shall identify the development needs of students, shall maintain a productive learning environment, and shall work collaboratively to support the priorities of the Strategic Plan.
Condition of Employment: As a condition of employment, the individual selected for this position will be expected to complete the APS-sponsored Linguistically Diverse Educator (LDE) Certificate Program within the first three years of employment.
