Minimum experience requirement: At least three years successful teaching experience in either a regular or gifted education setting. Candidates for this position must hold or be eligible for teacher licensure in Virginia. An endorsement in gifted education is preferred, but not required.

In this position, the gifted resource teacher will facilitate lessons in kindergarten and/or first grade, collaboratively with kindergarten and/or first grade teachers, assist in the collection of anecdotal records, and assist the full-time gifted resource teacher in the first grade screening and referral processes.

This Temporary Employment Agreement (TEA) position is for the 2020-2021 school year only and is not eligible for benefits .

Part-time will be equivalent to 14 hours, 40 minutes per week, to be scheduled based on school needs
