PROBATIONARY POSITION
10-MONTHS - 32.5 HOURS/WEEK
SALARY: $12.90/HOUR, plus payment for additional credit hours, if applicable - PLUS GREAT BENEFITS!
START DATE: SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 (**AS SOON AS POSSIBLE**)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: A Special Education Teaching Assistant must be able to consistently and successfully perform the essential functions of the position as outlined below:
1. Assist in instruction and fulfillment of IEP mandates
2. Implement established behavior plan(s)
3. Ability to assume teacher responsibilities
4. Assist teacher to implement and monitor individual lesson plans, data collection and charting systems
5. Assist in conducting classroom activities that enhance opportunity to develop skills in areas of need and with routine classroom functions
6. Assist with home-school communication
8. Assist with all required paperwork to be completed

- MUST BE FINGERPRINTED THROUGH THE NYS DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PRIOR TO START DATE (see attached)
- Experience working with elementary students preferred
