QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited educational institution required.

2. Designation as a CPA preferred.

3. Three (3) years' experience in accounting with at least two (2) years at the supervisory level required.

4. Government accounting experience preferred.

5. Valid Florida Driver License.

This position is responsible for administration of the Accounts Payable function with a staff of 10 direct reports.

This key Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of managing the entire accounts payable cycle, including AP disbursement, invoice problem resolution, annual, and other related matters. Manages monthly close of accounts payable, including the posting of month-end entries. Ensures that all deadlines are met in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Designs operational procedures and processes that strengthen controls while improving operational efficiency. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient and accurate operation of the accounts payable function.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To maintain an accurate and cost-effective system for control, disbursement, and accounting for School Board funds, which will provide useful management information for the School Board and staff, and which will be consistent with Federal, State, and local requirements and generally accepted accounting principles.
