POSITION SUMMARY

The Functional IT Business Support (Human Resources) role is responsible for understanding the human resources (HR) division needs, drivers and metrics to facilitate development and support of process-driven technical solutions. The incumbent will structure, analyze and visualize current state; design and visualize the future state; and design and guide the change process from current to future state with respect to people, process and technology. The incumbent will work with the HR departments and technical teams to drive alignment of system business process, technical implementation and key performance indicator (KPI) data reporting for a comprehensive solution. The Functional IT Business Support role will gather information from multiple sources, organize the information into a meaningful format and provide input into business strategies as it relates to HR technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Develops excellent understanding of HR's business process needs, district's culture and the intersection between the different departments
  • Gathers, documents, prioritizes, validates, communicates and manages detailed HR business requirements for projects and initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfills end-user requirements, and identifies and resolves HR systems issues
  • Works to infuse quality standards and validation into the solution
  • Works with business teams to develop testing strategies, test cases and use cases
  • Works with technical team members to implement enhancements and resolve issues
  • Provides process analysis and solution options to resolve issues and business pain points
  • Manages the work with external vendors to research, plan and develop effective process-based HR technology solutions
  • Oversees resolution and root cause analysis of technical and functional issues with the application team
  • Facilitates group meetings, communicates clearly and builds consensus among all involved
  • Remains abreast of developments and best practices in the information technology field
  • Creates and maintains proper documentation for all systems, installations, and establishes processes, procedures and standard operating procedures as necessary for areas of responsibility
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated


Requirements :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, information technology (IT), computer science, or a related field required

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of IT work experience
  • 2 years of experience working with HR departments
  • Experience with Infor Human Capital Management (HCM) GHR (Global HR) a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Knowledge about enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and its capabilities
  • Skills working with finance IT systems
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles, tools and various methodologies
  • Skills supporting technical systems through process development, modeling and improvements
  • Strong MS Office product experience including Visio
  • Exceptional investigative questioning and critical analysis skills
  • Detail oriented to eliminate all ambiguity
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Ability to project manage cross functional teams
  • Ability to work under pressure, adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Compensation :

Salary Grade: 130

Salary Range: FY'20 APS Salary Schedule (All Positions)
