The incumbent will troubleshoot technology system internals, on premise applications, cloud-based applications and application technology interfaces with a focus on availability, reliability, archiving where necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator is responsible for application development, technical support and system administration of a subset of the applications portfolio. The incumbent will troubleshoot technology system internals, on premise applications, cloud-based applications and application technology interfaces with a focus on availability, reliability, archiving where necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Ensures stakeholders' needs and drivers are met through gathering and analyzing requirements to ensure systems meet specifications
- Leads enhancements and upgrade efforts for on premise and vendor managed applications; may require setup, configuration and system development
- Designs and develops applications and workflows utilizing the office 365 Power Suite (PowerApps, PowerAutomate or PowerBI)
- Supports and conducts training, quality testing and validation efforts, working with team to infuse quality standards and validation into the solution
- Drives resolution of technical issues and defects for on premise and vendor managed applications
- Creates and maintains documentation for communication, training, testing, maintenance and support purposes
- Communicates with vendors to ensure technical alignment with APS IT standards and current technology portfolio
- Provides well rounded support by being familiar with application development, LAN/WAN/NOC, system installation/configuration, security technologies, server management and database management
- Monitors, analyzes, diagnoses root cause and resolves issues in collaboration with other APS IT departments
- Provides expert management of multiple vendors in relation to technology needs, maintenance and upgrades
- Provides effective communication to stakeholders of technical concerns, issues and solutions
- Gathers requirements and develop reports to support the business stakeholders' process and use of the system
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
- Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated
Requirements :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a related field required
- In lieu of degree, will consider 2 years of related technology experience per year of college (8 years)
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
A+, Network +, Microsoft Intelligence tools, and/or SQL certification a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of Information Technology (IT) work experience required
- 2 years of work experience as a developer or system administrator
- Demonstrated experience in SQL, programming languages, vendor management and technology architecture
- Demonstrated experience developing applications and administering cloud based systems
- Experience with Office 365 Power Suite (Power Automate, PowerApps, PowerBI)
- Experience in managing servers, databases and networks as a part of application support
- Experience in gathering business requirements and modeling business processes
- Experience in project management of cross functional teams
