POSITION SUMMARY
The Junior Data Analyst will assist the senior data analyst in transforming data across multiple systems into actionable business insights. The incumbent will be responsible assisting in parts of the analysis lifecycle which may include requirements, data acquisition, design, data quality, analysis and reporting. The junior data analyst will have technical experience in one or more of the following areas: database development, database management, data warehousing, extract, transform, load (ETL) and SQL. The incumbent will assist with multiple teams to develop metrics, performance indicators and data quality audits. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting technical reporting systems.
The position will work closely with the senior data analyst to accomplish the objectives of the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Acquires data from primary or secondary data sources
- Maintains databases/data collection systems that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Filters and "cleans" data by reviewing system reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
- Identifies data quality issues, reporting them to the senior data analyst
- Interprets data and analyze results using statistical techniques
- Assists with managing master data within the reporting systems, including creation, updates, users, user roles
- Assists with managing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata
- Assists with troubleshooting the reporting database environment reporting to the senior data analyst when issues arise
- Provides technical expertise on core data management concepts
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
- Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated
Requirements :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a related field required
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of work experience with data analytics, modeling and reporting systems
- Experience in report development and visualization development
- Experience with PowerBi and Cognos experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of database design and database development
- Knowledge of developing, implementing and/or maintaining data collection systems from multiple sources
- Proficient in at least one programming language (i.e. R, VBA, Python, SQL, ETL, JavaScript)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of common business intelligence and visualization tools
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
- Ability to work under pressure, adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, action-oriented, results-driven
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly in a fast moving environment that supports students and schools
- Strong team player with proven ability to collaborate across teams
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and senior management
