The Assistant Superintendent  directs the overall development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of all District curriculum and instructional programs atr\ the miidle and high school instructional levels. This position directly supervises the secondary principals and oversees the effective operation of the two high schools and three middle schools in the District.

New Hampshire certification for Superintendent or meeting the NH requirements for eligibility for Assistant Superintendent with eight years of educational experience in curriculum and instruction and related experiences, including three years of significant educational administration experience.  The successful candidate will have significant experience in leadership of curriculum and instruction, assessment, teaching, and demonstrate capabilities in development of instructional programs. This position requires a collaborative management style, excellent communication skills, high energy leadership and a desire to work in a school system with a diverse student population.
Leadership:   Provide district level leadership to schools in identifying and acquiring appropriate curriculum design in order to enhance student learning, improve student assessment, facilitate an alignment of the curriculum across instructional levels, implementing effective strategies for student success and ensuring core curriculum design and programming in alignment with the Common Core standard.  Management:  Establish professional development programs to increase teacher effectiveness in the classroom, develop the Professional Development Master plan in collaboration with others to improve instruction, evaluate the performance of educational professionals and facilitate the recertification/ renewal process for teachers.   Provide ongoing support and supervision to secondary school principals and programs, and ongoing support to the Superintendent in formulating and implementing district goals, policies, budgets and plans. Collaborate with Principals, Directors and the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary schools  in carrying out these responsibilities.
