Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in nursing or public health. Registered nurse preferred. Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to operate PC and input data; ability to plan and complete tasks; ability to work with program staff, other agencies, parents, volunteers, and community members from different ethnic, racial and socio-economic backgrounds. Familiar with community resources, child growth and development, and record keeping systems. Experience in Head Start program and/or two years experience working with infants, preschool children, and/or expectant parents. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public health administration with particular reference to Head Start/Early Head Start, or children 0 to 5 years old; and knowledge of laws and regulations governing the FECEP/Head Start/Early Head Start, or children 0 to 5 years old, program activities of FCPS, and its organization and operations.
