Description: Assistant Principal
Reports to: School Principal

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited institution with certification in administration and supervision (Type 75 certificate), or educational leadership. A minimum of three years successful teaching experience, or related experience at the elementary and/or and middle education levels.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of teaching and learning processesDemonstrated knowledge of procedures, techniques, and strategies pertaining to the administration of elementary and/or middle level educationDemonstrated knowledge and commitment to decentralized decision-making and accountability for results that facilitate creative processes toward development and implementation, and support services delivery systemsKnowledge of and ability to work with labor relations and collective bargaining agreementsAbility to work and communicate effectively with people to focus resources (both human and financial) toward achievement of school and district expected resultsAbility to facilitate group processes in consensus building, conflict resolution, planning, and decision-making
