The Chicago Teacher Residency (CTR) offers a rigorous, one-year teacher training program designed for talented, committed professionals who passionately believe that all students deserve a quality education.  Our Masters of Arts in Teaching program is designed to prepare you to teach in high-needs schools in urban Chicago communities.

CTR is a recognized leader in teacher training. It is an intensive and supportive program that develops highly-effective teachers through master’s level coursework partnered with in-classroom experience with guidance from expert coaches and mentors. With combining theory and practice, participants receive the tools they need to become successful educators in Chicago Public Schools and beyond.
