Lexington Public Library serves a merged city/county metro area with approximately 320,000 residents with six locations, strong virtual library, and robust community-based services. The Library is an integral community partner and resources, serving over 4.5 million customers and lending a record high 4 million items in FY20. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have added a wide array of new and adapted services to support our community as it learns, plays, and grows.
