    JOB SUMMARY
    The Early Childhood Floater will travel from classroom to classroom providing classroom support in order for teachers and educational assistants to complete paperwork or other duties directly or indirectly related to teaching. This individual will conduct the class while the teacher engages in other required activities. Lesson plans will be provided by the classroom teacher. No lesson planning is required for this position.
    LOCATION
    Various preK-8 buildings throughout the Youngstown City School District
    CREDENTIALS

    DUTIES
    Current teaching license; preferably in Early Childhood or
    Early Childhood Intervention Specialist Certificate
    • Follows teachers daily lesson plans
    • Works collaboratively with classroom assistant(s)
    • Is flexible and able to make schedule changes as necessary
    • Communicates regularly with teachers to identify duties to be fulfilled
    • Communicates scheduled changes with immediate supervisor
    • Implements established behavior management system with documentation to promote self-control into the daily program of each student, as appropriate
    • Develops positive working relationships with students, parents, school personnel, and community members
    • Maintains confidentially of information and student records
    • Attends in-services, professional meetings, workshops and staff meetings deemed necessary by the administration
    • Participates in approved and recommended professional growth activities, including curriculum and content standards training
    • Maintains appropriate documentation when requested
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor, building principal or Chief of Student Services
