Summer School Program Coordinator Overview
Chestnut Academy needs strong leaders to create and support a four-week long implementation of rigorous academic programming.
Program Coordinator Responsibilities
With support and general guidance from Chestnut Administration, the Program Coordinator is expected to:
Oversee the day to day operations and management of the program
Oversee accountability, discipline and reporting
Lead recruitment efforts
Create academic schedule
Plan and oversee enrichment programs and trips
Program Coordinator Requirements
Must be a problem solver who works to overcome challenges
Must possess a belief that all students can achieve at high levels
Must demonstrate an ability to create differentiated lesson plans based on student performance over time
Must have demonstrated techniques for building relationships with students and families
Must demonstrate that students have been successful in their classroom
Must have current CPI certification
Benefits
Selection as a Summer School Program Coordinator recognizes an individual for his/her leadership and commitment to urban education. The Summer School experience will also give leaders the opportunity to share with and learn from other great leaders in a highly collaborative environment. In addition, the program coordinator will receive:
$5,000 stipend

Dates: July 8 - August 2
Monday-Thursday (8am-12pm) Fridays (8am-3:30pm)
