- Valid Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License with Foreign Language - Spanish endorsement.
- It is preferred that candidates should have significant time in a Spanish-speaking country.

- Knowledgeable about current trends in language learning (methodology, pedagogy, and assessments).
