    Principal - Dater HS

    The Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking an outstanding, visionary instructional leader who possesses strong educational leadership skills to work closely with staff, parents and community to serve as the Principal of Dater HS.

    Dater HS serves grades 7-12. The leader for this school will provide vision and direction to shape a program that seeks to develop to the fullest extent possible, every student's potential for creativity, initiative, independence, inner discipline and self-confidence which will foster an enthusiasm for life and learning and ensure student achievement.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate shall possess the ability to:
    • Demonstrate exemplary leadership and encourage shared decision-making between administration and staff.
    • Be respectful of and work well with students, parents and volunteers in a diverse environment.
    • Be able to accommodate the successful integration of state standards.
    • Interpret goals of Cincinnati Public Schools to the students, staff and community.
    • Implement disciplinary procedures with the goal of changing undesired behavior while instilling into the children an awareness of their role in the world.
    • Communicate and work well with teachers, team leaders, civil service staff, assistant principal, parents and community.
    • Be committed to a safe and family-friendly school that engages and encourages involvement by all parents in the education process.
    • Be a professional ambassador of Dater HS in the public domain and have the ability to develop and implement a public relations plan.
    • Establish high expectations for staff, students, parents and community members.
    • Be dedicated to promoting and achieving academic excellence and implementing the vision of Dater High School.
    • Facilitate the collaboration of regular education teachers and intervention specialists.
    • Be committed to an extended and flexible time schedule to supervise extra-curricular/athletic activities.
    • Have knowledge of budgeting and the ability to distribute and manage State, Federal and General funds.
    • Have the ability to develop and /or maintain community partnerships.


    QUALIFICATIONS :

    CERTIFICATION:
    Secondary principal's certificate valid for the State of Ohio. Those applicants completing all coursework for the principal's license by July 1, 2019, must submit a letter of verification from the program advisor in lieu of the license.

    TRAINING:
    Master's degree or beyond with a concentration in educational administration.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    Minimum of three years as a successful teacher or in a teaching-related position and two years in an administrative or supervisory position

    Salary: Per CAAS Agreement

    Principals will be placed in the level equal to their years of leadership as principal and other salary differentials, if applicable.
