ABOUT THE SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT
Ute Meadows is a high achieving elementary school, located in the Ken Caryl area of Jefferson County. We believe our students deserve to be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. We strive to develop innovators, collaborators, critical thinkers, creators, communicators, leaders, teachers, and contributors.
We have strong Library, Art, Music, and PE programs, and are a Healthy School with active children. Students may participate in our KUTE news program, a track meet with area schools, instrumental music, and Evening of the Arts. The 7 Mindsets, a research-based program, is incorporated into our instruction, which increases student academic performance, attendance and engagement, and reduces behavior issues. We utilize technology in instruction and are moving towards implementation of 1:1 student to device ratios. We have an active PTA whose fundraising efforts greatly impact our school. We are honored to support our center-based program which includes students with significant special needs.
