Min-Mid Annual Salary Range: $60,960 - $73,028

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUMMARY Manager of project management and project lifecycles by effectively initiating, planning, scheduling, controlling, and bringing to closure multiple, large, high profile, and high priority projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Develop detailed project plans, requirements and schedules for each phase of special education data reporting and other assigned projects; lead the project team; develop and enforce standards and procedures for project deliverables, quality assurance,
Status reporting, issue reporting, and change management; identify and communicate project visions.

Monitor and assess project progress; recommend and report contingency plans to mitigate project risk.

Present status reports to the leadership team on a monthly basis; review and validate impact analysis of project status and timelines.

Serve as project historian by maintaining electronic records, minutes of meetings, paper and other historical records, etc.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience in project information management and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Bachelor's degree in management information systems, business, or other related field, or certificate in Project Management from an accredited college.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EQUIPMENT Strong management, supervisory, communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. Knowledge of project planning tools, methodologies, and techniques. Strong personal computer, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation skills. Knowledge of and experience with large school district (25,000+ students) student information systems and databases. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Operating knowledge and experience with Macintosh and Windows-based microcomputers, local and wide area networks, and Microsoft Windows and Office.

DECISION MAKING Apply detailed project management techniques to deliver data projects to educational staff and to work with the schools and departments to monitor the quality of the data. Errors in decision making could impact the accuracy of the data, potentially leading to loss of funding for the District and embarrassment to the District.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS Daily contact with classified staff within/outside the department, professional staff within the department, students, parents, and vendors/contractors to maintain relationships and with professional staff outside the department to negotiate controversial matters.

SPAN OF CONTROL This position will supervise Compliance Technicians.

EDUCATIONAL DELIVERY Provides support services for educational resources and student data reporting. The majority of time is not spent at the school site.

COMPLEXITY OF WORK Work is assigned by the Director, Student Success/Special Education District needs, and District Strategic Plan. Project management, technical and professional knowledge; interpretation of facts; and supervisory, interpersonal, accuracy, attention to detail, logical thinking, and analytical skills are required to meet project deliverables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
