Charter School Content Manager

Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) is seeking a full-time Charter School Content Manager for the National Charter School Resource Center (NCSRC). The successful candidate will have experience in K-12 education and knowledge of charter schools (e.g. in operations, instruction, facilities, or policy). The Content Manager/ Charter Schools Expert will work in close partnership with the Project Director in overseeing all content produced by the NCSRC in addition to creating new technical assistance materials for the NCSRC website. This position is for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, and edit deliverables for the National Charter School Resource Center (NCSRC), including toolkits, white papers, webinar content, and case studies
  • Use expertise in charter schools and K-12 education to identify topics for study and SMEs to support project deliverables  
  • Project manage the development of technical assistance resources (e.g. papers, reports, guidebooks) that will be published on the NCSRC website, ensuring publications are high quality, research-based, & aligned with sector needs
  • Gather and review publicly available content for inclusion on the NCSRC website using a resource vetting rubric
  • Develop, promote, and coordinate the delivery of webinars on topics of interest to charter schools stakeholders 
  • Facilitate technical assistance activities including hosting panels, conference calls with SE/SEAs and conference presentations containing rich content on charter schools
  • Analyze and track federal funding opportunities for charter schools
  • Ensure that communities of practice provide opportunities for ongoing collaborative learning, problem-solving, and information-sharing; moderate discussions and encourage discussions among CoP members on specific topics
  • Identify resources to respond to specific discussions among CoP members
  • Work closely with the project’s Technical Working Group and Research Council to solicit feedback on project direction and deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Master’s in education or public policy
  • At least three years of charter school experience as a teacher, coach, school leader, board chair, service provider, consultant, or subject matter expert
  • Authored or co-authored minimum two publications on K-12 educational topics
  • Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Experience in document production and management processes
  • Experience in quality control
