Children's Literacy Initiative (CLI) is seeking a temporary full-time Content Production Assistant to be based out of our Center City Philadelphia headquarters. The temporary Content Production Assistant will work with the Content Production team to prepare materials for CLI's teacher training workshops (binders, book collections, sample handmade classroom aides, participant workbooks, USB libraries, etc.), track inventory of event supplies, pack and ensure complete and accurate event bins, work with the shipping department and Operations team to ensure timely arrival of event supplies, and maintain organization of content production materials and work area.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone that enjoys working independently and wants to learn more about early elementary education and classroom resources.

Main Responsibilities:
•Under the direction of Content Production Associate and Content Development and Editing Manager, assists with the creation of CLI event materials and products - anchor charts, sentence strips, workbooks, binders, printouts, etc.
•Unpacks and returns materials that have come back from offsite events; keeps the production area neat, organized, and efficient.
•Assists with the organization of the content storage room and children's book library
•Uses book lists to assemble and pack collections of children's books for trainings.
•This candidate is frequently required to stand for 30-45 minutes at a time, sit and stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch and is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Requirements:
•1 year work or internship experience
•Experience preparing meeting resources in an educational or professional setting
•Sense of ownership and pride in work products
•Good handwriting; ability to create neat, consistent, and visually appealing examples of handmade classroom materials for training events
•Strong attention to detail; ability to catch and resolve inconsistencies while handling a high volume of work
•Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
•Good communication and follow-up skills; ability to ask questions and gather information to ensure quality of work product
•Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Internet
•Occasional flexibility with standard work hours to meet deadlines and prepare for events
