SALARY: $50,800 based on minimum 5 years' experience w/Master's Degree - actual salary depends on education and experience
CONTRACT: 185 day
START DATE: August 2019
CLOSING DATE: April 29, 2019

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a teaching certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board in Elementary Education. Candidates must also hold a master's degree or be Nationally Board certified and have at least five years teaching experience. Other desired qualifications include: Comprehensive understanding of effective teaching strategies and student learning; strong mentoring and coaching skills; data analysis skills; and coaching and or experience facilitating professional development.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will provide support of teachers through in class coaching, co-planning, and model teaching; providing teachers support in developing specialized learning; working collaboratively with teachers to couple research and program materials to develop horizontally and vertically aligned curriculum; facilitating professional learning in both small and large group settings; using knowledge of current research, best practices, and the Common Core State Standards to develop and implement formal and informal professional development; supporting teachers in extending formal professional development experiences to classroom practice; demonstrating a knowledge of local, state, and federal accountability systems; participating in the activities of a district-wide professional development program; balancing the needs of all stakeholders in order to promote learning across the system; maintaining cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders by demonstrating a sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population; assessing the success of training sessions, studying follow-up evaluations, and identifying areas of improvement within the system; demonstrating a commitment to continued personal professional learning in the service of improving instruction for all students in Albany County School District #1.
