About the position:
Whittle School & Studios is seeking an enthusiastic self-starter and multi-tasker for the position of Project Manager. This position will be located in New York and report to the VP of Development & Strategic Finance and the Global Chief Human Resources Officer.
This individual will assist the VP of Development & Strategic Finance in supervising and managing ongoing new campus development and other high priority projects for the organization. The Project Manager will be adept at scheduling and providing day-to-day coordination of all project efforts to ensure that deadlines are met. Besides these responsibilities, the Project Manager will also provide administrative support for the Human Resources team.
To navigate this position, the Project Manager is expected to have a strong business acumen, thoroughly understand the needs of the organization, and be proficient in relationship building.

Whittle School & Studios is an ambitious project to modernize education and build the world's best and most innovative environment for human learning and development. Over the next decade we will be opening 30 plus Pre-K-12 schools in the world's most vibrant cities, with all of our campuses designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano. The project is led by education entrepreneur Chris Whittle.

Our team is comprised of innovators in science, design, technology, and human learning, who are applying their diverse talents to re-engineer education from the ground up. Our focus is on the science of learning, personalized curriculum, global experience, and holistic human development. 
Our first two schools will open this fall, located in Shenzhen, China, and Washington D.C., United States. 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with scheduling, preparation and distribution of agendas/materials for bi-weekly planning committee and development meetings
  • Take accurate and detailed notes during meetings
  • Develop and manage project management tool to track ownership, status, and next steps of key initiatives
  • Assist with preparation and production of board/investor materials
  • Prepare and update monthly KPIs
  • Assist the HR team with various administrative tasks, which can include reconciling and submitting expense reports, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-4 years of project management work experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with various project & management platforms/software (Concur, etc.)
  • Ability to track multiple projects running in parallel
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience of interacting with both business and HR individuals from junior to executive levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Interest in education, real estate, and working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
